In 2024, this house was purchased by someone who was escaping an abusive marriage. She cleaned up the abandoned house and turned it into an inn. Next, she planned an educational program for women who wanted to gain experience in hospitality.

She realized that women in Kentucky often could not leave for long, despite the support received from Domestic Abuse Services. Consequently, they returned to their husbands and had difficulty regaining enough confidence to find a job to support themselves and their children.
